A New Creation In Christ & the Great Commission

All the believers are new creatures in Christ Jesus. Read 2 Corinthians 5:17:  ”Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new." What is this then? Do we become completely new people with a new personality? Well I can say this: Many people are bound and are not free to be who they really are. They maybe feel that they are not good enough as they are. Maybe they never received any encouragement and feel worthless. Maybe sin has deformed them and they have lost themselves. Many unsaved people can be nice and act in their natural gifts that God has given them. But many are formed by sin. But when we become new creatures in Christ Jesus the past also is gone, the new has come as the verse said above. We have different personalities and when we become new creatures in Christ Jesus we can see who we really are more and more.

We no longer need to be bound in something negative that wants to pull us down. We don´t need be disheartened or dismayed any longer, for example. We are the originals that God created us. We shall blossom as the fine creations that God made us and we will flourish in the gifts God has given us. We can be free and we don't need to be bound in something bad anymore. We don´t need to be formed by something negative in general or from something negative from the past. It is very sad when you hear about people who are formed by their negative growth and perhaps a psychologist told them that they must learn to live with the pain inside from the past.

Perhaps some people have been bullied so their lives is a result of the misery and the tough time from the past. But it does not have to be like this when you get saved. Jesus heals us inside and sets us free and we become new wonderful creations in Jesus. The only thing we need to do is to forgive those who have done us harm, and then receive God's love, healing and restoration.

We read: 1 Peter 2: 24-25: ^”who His own self bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray, but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” We need to leave our sins to Jesus who took the sins on the cross and we need to turn around so that Jesus can be our soul Shepherd and healer.

Now we come to the Great Commission: We read: Matthew 28: 18-20: " And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Amen.

We can also read: Mark 16:15: " And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." Then we read in Acts 1: 8:   ^”But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Here we see that all believers are called to preach the gospel. It is not about being called to be a special evangelist. The evangelist preaching the gospel and encouraging all the believers to do the same. Evangelist go before and show the way, teach and help others to do the Great Commission. There are more to say about the Evangelist, but here I want to talk about that the Great Commission is for all believers. Is it not about to have a special bold personality. No, the personality has nothing to do with this. We can preach and give the Gospel to friends, to people we do not know in the streets, we can preach the gospel to crowds etc. But it is important that we are baptized in the Holy Spirit and that we are filled with the Holy Spirit and than we have boldness to testify, give out the gospel and preach to people. You can be bold in Christ Jesus. I want to encourage you here that when you are filled with the Holy Spirit you can preach and witness to people and give them the gospel. Be blessed from Anette.
